I offer boutique modern school photography & specialise in documenting the growth & milestones of our toddlers, preschool & primary school aged children. I have home bases both in Hokitika, West Coast in the south & Te Kauwhata, North Waikato in the north, and love serving both of these smaller communities & beyond.

After the loss of my toddler in 2008, I learned the true value of the work I now offer, visually documenting the lives of littles. I believe it truly is an investment that appreciates even more over time.

My clients are not just a number, they are incredible people with remarkable stories & I am passionate about creating beautiful art to empower them, to document the early years and encapsulate their milestones to help tell their stories to their future generations.

I am devoted to creating artful images of our little people & their families, creating the imagery that builds connection to their childhoods. I take pride on the smallest of details & I want every child I photograph to have the opportunity to have their portrait proudly displayed in their home.

Studies have proven that a child's self esteem & sense of belonging is significantly improved when their photos are displayed prominently in their home. When children see photos of themselves in their homes, their identity is reinforced and they feel more connected to their family unit. I value prints in homes & endeavour to make beautiful, professional prints available to all families, particularly in smaller, rural communities.

In my artistic view, I use composition, light & camera manipulation to create my work with a strong focus on eyes - the windows to our souls. I hand edit my raw files, adding layers of technical skill in post production to polish my final photographs ready to deliver. The production time from start to finish is considerably longer than that of a standard portrait.
